Shipyard No. 1 is partially obscured by smoke up the center channel at the bend. Shipyard No. 2 is in the basin at right. Both were operated by the Permanente Metals Corporation. Shipyard No.3 is at left and was operated by the Kaiser Company. Shipyard No. 4 is in the upper left at the end of the channel and was operated by the Kaiser Cargo Company.
