Famous WW2 Quote
"You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs. Victory in spite of all terrors. Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival."Winston Churchill

The aircraft is a Cessna UC-78 Bobcat and the vehicle is an aircraft tug. Note Col. Hobby’s cap piece. In US military tradition, the cap piece identifies the branch of service first and then officer or enlisted second. The fact that Col. Hobby’s cap piece is quite different from the regular Army officer’s cap piece is driven by the gender bias of the time signifying that Col. Hobby may be Army, but never quite “real” Army. The practice was corrected shortly after the war.
