My brother Corporal Paul E. Nicely passed away in Hospital New Hebrides Islands (Efate Isl?) 6/19/1944. 1940-1944 same outfit, 4th Marines Defense Battalion, Special Weapons Group, H Battery.
Were at Pearl Harbor Dec. 7, 1941, aborted Wake Island rescue,later9vj arrived Espiritu Santo, N.H. in 1942. Buried in Guantanamo Cemetery (?) Any thing to add to my research Appreciated.

I would really like to find more information on New Hebrides. Just found out from my father's discharge paper that is where he served during WWII.
