- The Sino-French Accords was signed in Chongqing, China, in which France formally relinquished extra-territorial rights in Shanghai, Tianjin, Hankou, and Guangzhou. It also changed the status of Haiphong, Tonkin, French Indochina to that of a free port for the Chinese.
