Outside of the building, in Braunau Am Inn,
Austria were Adolf Hitler was born, is a
stone memorial warning of the horrors of
World War II.

FUR FRIEDEN FREIHEIT
UND DEMOKRATIE
NIE WIEDER FASCHISMUS
MILLIONEN TOTE MAHNEM

loosely translated it reads:
"For Peace,Freedom and Democracy
never again Fascism
Millions of dead remind us"

This picture is certainly not made in 1937... more like 1944. He was aging quite fast due to stress.

THE HITLER HOUSE:

Adolf Hitler's birth place address was just off the main street at Salzburger Vorstadt 15, it was a 17th Century former inn, located in the city of Braunau am Inn at that time it was part of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire.
Alois and Klara rented the upstairs rooms Alois Hitler's father was posted there because of his job as a customs official. Hitler was born on April 20, 1889 but only lived there for a few weeks before his parents moved to another address in Braunau and later, left again when Adolf was three years old moved to Passau, Germany and on to Leonding, Germany.

BACK TO THE BLOCK:

After Hitler became Chancellor and Dictator he returned for a visit to his place of birth in Braunau an Inn in 1938, on his way to Vienna after he annexed Austria. Hitler was met by wild cheering crowds in his hometown. Hitler also went to visit the grave of his parents, did you know many of the buildings Hitler lived in as a child still stand today, even the school he went to from 1895 to 1897 still stands.

HITLER'S BIRTH PLACE TODAY:

Over the decades the building passed through different hands and has changed very little at one time it was operated as a day-care center for the disabled.

LIMBO: THIS OLD HOUSE

The Austrian Government's Interior Ministry rented the building for years from the owner since that time, the owner has not agreed to any improvements or accept any offers to rent office space or for any other purposes.

ADOLF HITLER:

No person in the 20th Century has changed the world as we know it. Movies and Books have been
produced and published covering this evil man.
So much has been written about Hitler, people who lived through the horror of Nazi Germany and those that served and survived WWII.

Today there is hardly any person on the face of the Earth, born in the post-war period and those afterward and into the 21st Century who know about Adolf Hitler the rise & fall of the Third Reich, WWII, millions upon millions dead, Europe in ruins, the Cold War between East and West for over forty years that changed the face of Europe.

Eastern Europe enslaved under the dark evil of Communism, to fear and understand someone like Adolf Hitler, is to never forget past history.

MAN OF THE YEAR:

Did you know that Time Magazine put Adolf Hitler on its cover as man of the year for 1938 what were those people thinking. A dictator that owned the people and a whole country, and It would be the German people that would later face a terrible reckoning.

FAN MAIL:

This evil person even received over one thousand
letters per month. Mail received ranged from post cards, letters to gifts sent to him. Mail that was addressed to Hitler still exists today and hidden from public view.
After the fall of Berlin, the Red Army captured and salvaged thousands of letters addressed to Hitler. Those bags of mail are stored today in Government archives in Moscow.

WALKING IN HIS SHADOW:

During the Hitler years, men wanted to emulate him women adored him, children would follow him and the youth were molded by him. Did you know that thousands of streets and squares were renamed Adolf Hitler Platz thousands of people who lived buildings flew the new Nazi flag banners were everywhere people even greeted each other with Hail Hitler and children started their day to honor him...

CAUGHT IN THE HEAD LIGHTS:

Admiration for such a man, who manipulated an
entire people and nation. How could an allegiance
of an entire country be explained. The world only got rid of Hitler in the physical sense his legacy
still hunts mankind to this very day.

Dictators have come and gone it never ceases to amaze me how people still fall for the same lines over and over...follow me, and I'll treat you well.
The world must never allow such a man like Adolf Hitler to rise again, if so its always freedom that's the first victim. Any regime that fails to recognize freedom and the dignity of man, that regime will fall.

MAN OF THE HOUR: FAVORITE SON

Did you know during the Hitler era over 4,000 German towns awarded Adolf Hitler the title of Honorary Citizen, this was even before he became a German Citizen. Hitler's Citizenship was gained on February 26, 1932.
Today the town of Guban one half of the town is in Germany the other half is in Poland still lists Adolf Hitler on the city books as honorary citizen.
