No problem until little kitty unscrews the arming device, chain falls out and the little kitten, pulls on it to arm the grenade
smart little commie kitty.
U.S. grenades have a pin securing the handle
pull the pin out and throw the grenade.
Kitty must be one of Stalin's little sleeper cells, waiting until the hated fascists invaders relax and than...roll the grenade over the table, and run little kitty run, run, run.
As little kitty runs away to Moscow to make her report to the Central Committee of the Communist Party, thinking "Glad I'm not a dog
with explosives strapped to my back trained to run under the hated fascists tanks", I get to play another day!
Say brel have you ever cooked your C-Rations with C-4? Composition C-4 Plastic Explosive.

KITTY NATASHA FOOLS THE HATED FASCISTS AGAIN
File photo shows a two lance corporals with a sergeant in the center. One corporal has the SS-runes on his collar, and what looks like the eastern front service medal/ribbon.
The other two I can't identify their collar
insigina. That's the way it goes.
The uniforms are the M43 pattern cap, side cap and M36 field blouse worn open or closed
I'm taking a guess here the lance corporal's arm insigina lower left sleeve could be a foreign SS Shield/Div. for one of the Baltic States, but this is only a guess. If anybody has more info, post it here I would like to learn more...
RUN NATASHA, RUN, RUN, RUN:
When Natasha makes her report to the Central Committee in Moscow, she'll be rewarded with an American supplied can of:
9-lives Super Supper of Turkey and Giblets Dinner.

SS-Lance Corporal has been awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class, and wares only the ribbon. This award is worn on the second button of the service tunic.
And not to be confused with the eastern front service medal, known to the troops as the frozen meat medal.

SPY CAT: BELIEVE IT OR NOT
Its a little known fact that during the Cold War
the CIA worked with animal behaviorist to train little kitty in the arts of Cloak and Dagger.
THE CAT WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD:
Cats were trained to spy on America's enemies around the world. Our feline spies would blend in
and go unnoticed or just hide in plain sight.
People are never suspicious when they see a cat on the street.
When kitty spies would return to their handlers, I'm sure they were rewarded with a special blend of cat food, cozy bedding and a warn safe house.
THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR CAT:
Veterinary surgeons implanted small listening devices into the cats ear canal, with a power source implanted in little kitties rib cage the
device would send a powerful signal without harming the animal or people in the area how our
kitty spies worked to gather information is still a mystery.
EVERY CAT A TIGER: PURRFECTLY
If any cats were really sent on any missions such information has not come to light. Any information
about such operations from the CIA can be filed under meow's the word.
CLOAK & DAGGER:
Is an English term sometimes used to refer to situations involving intrigue, secrecy, espionage
and mystery.
I THANK THE EDITOR/WW2DB FOR ALLOWING ME TO LEAVE THIS COMMENT.

great pic for insignia detail. It's slightly disturbing that the kitten is playing with an 'egg'grenade!
