INTERESTING PHOTOGRAPH OF A KRIEGSMARINE (NAVAL)RATING. LOOKS LIKE THIS SAILOR WAS SERVING IN A LAND-BASED UNIT, MAYBE EVEN A PROPAGANDA UNIT W/MOVIE CAMERA, BUT I'M JUST GUESSING.
RATING WORE STANDARD NAVAL UNIFORMS, STEEL HELMET AND ARMY PERSONAL EQUIPMENT.
THE BASIC UNIFORM FOR A PETTY OFFICER, LOOKS LIKE HE'S A PETTY OFFICER 2ND OR 3RD CLASS WITH LACE AROUND COLLAR, WITH ANCHOR ON A DOUBLE-BREASTED REEFER JACKET.
WEAPON IS THE DREYSE MG13,7.92x57mm LIGHT MACHINE GUN, THAT WAS AIR COOLED, RECOIL OPERATED, FEED SYSTEM WAS A SADDLE DRUM MAGAZINE.
