Famous WW2 Quote
"You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs. Victory in spite of all terrors. Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival."Winston Churchill

Roosevelt is on the arm of his son, Captain Elliott Roosevelt. They are followed by Winston Churchill, other government officials, and high ranking officers. The president’s party had just come aboard Prince of Wales from the destroyer USS McDougal (background) that acted as a shuttle between Churchill’s ship (Prince of Wales) and Roosevelt’s ship (USS Augusta) throughout the conference.
