  • Delegates from the seventy-odd troop trains spread out along the Trans-Siberian railway gathered at Chelyabinsk, Russia for a General Congress. The Czechs now learned, via the French Military Mission in Moscow, of the Allied intention to re-route the Legion units still west of Omsk to Archangel. The Congress decided that such a division of the Legion's strength was unacceptable and rejected the idea in the face of strong protests from the French representatives present.
