ww2dbaseThe 7.5 cm Feldkanone 16 neuer Art field guns, or 7.5 cm FK 16 nA for short, were rebarreled WW1-era 7.7 cm FK 16 field guns in the 1930s to quickly provide the German Army the artillery pieces it needed; the rebarreling was done by the armament firm Rheinmetall. They had box trail carriages. Although they were used throughout the entire European War, they were meant to be used only as a stop-gap measure until new field gun designs were completed, thus they retained their original wooden spoke wheels, and thus they could not be towed by vehicles for quick transport.Source: Wikipedia ww2dbase
