ww2dbaseHMS Milfoil was commissioned into the British Royal Navy in Aug 1941. In Mar 1943, she was transferred to the United States Navy and was renamed USS Intensity; she was manned by a United States Coast Guard crew. She was decommissioned in late 1945, and she was transferred to the United States Maritime Commission. In 1950, she was sold to the Panamanian whailing company Balleneros Limited, which renamed her Olympic Promoter. In 1965, she was sold to a Japanese company and operated under the name of Otori Maru No. 5.
