Famous WW2 Quote
"You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs. Victory in spite of all terrors. Victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival."Winston Churchill

The small British union flag on the front of Montgomery’s car at Leigh-Mallory’s elbow flew from the front of every car he rode in from the Normandy landings until the end of the war. At war’s end, he signed his name to the pennant and presented it to his staff photographer, Sgt John Morris. Morris kept the pennant and it remains a family memento to this day.
