The caption is slightly misleading. 460 Squadron's Commanding Officer was, in fact, Wing Commander Martin, whilst Australian Group Captain Hughie Edwards, who had won the Victoria Cross two years earlier while flying with 2 Group, was the station commander at RAF Binbrook at the time of the Prime Minister's visit.
