M114, 155mm Howitzer better known to Vietnam artillerymen as "THE PIG" photo shows gun jacked up, gunner sits on left trail, assistant gunner right trail, breech is open and lanyard hanging down.
In the background are 155mm power canisters that hold seven power bags, you can also see the bunker that holds those 155mm projectiles on left trail is crew chiefs telephone receives firing orders from (FDC) that's Fire Direction Control. Artillery isn't fired blind its the (FO) Forward Observer that calls for support. 24/7 day and night.
