During the Pearl Harbor Raid on 12/7/41 Five Nakajima B5N Torpedo bombers were lost with all crews. The lost Kate's came from the Carrier Kaga's Torpedo Group.

The following brave airmen flying B5Ns off the aircraft carrier Kaga lost their lives attacking Pearl Harbor on Dec 7, 1941. The Aircraft Carrier Kaga had 92 B5N2 pilots and crewmen. Photograph above could be one of a couple of group photos taken on December 6, 1941. Kaga lost five B5N "Kate" Torpedo bombers, and fifteen pilots and crewmen.
