ww2dbaseThe Chuxiong Airfield (Postal Map romanization: Tsuyung) in Yunnan Province, China was a major airfield for the transport flights over the eastern Himalaya Mountains, also known as "The Hump". It hosted units of US Air Transport Command and Troop Carrier Squadrons of US Fourteenth Air Force. The base was dismantled after the end of WW2, and the land was later re-developed for industrial use.
