- Yekaterina Budanova shot down a Fw 190 aircraft over Rostov on Don, Russia, sharing the credit with other pilots. ww2dbase [Yekaterina Budanova | CPC]
- The US Liberty ship Starr King was torpedoed by the Japanese submarine I-21, 150 miles east of Sydney, Australia. By the time that the Australian destroyer HMAS Warramunga arrived in the early afternoon, Starr King was awash from her bridge aft and her crew had abandoned ship, but they re-boarded when Warramunga tried to take the 7,176-ton vessel in tow. ww2dbase [AC]

- The British Admiralty officially announced the loss of submarine HMS Utmost, sunk by Italian gunboat Groppo off Sicily, Italy on 25 Nov 1942. ww2dbase [AC]
