- The British Cabinet, hearing false rumours of Bolshevik atrocities at Irkutsk, Russia, sent a telegram to US President Wilson asking that he reconsider the proposal to land an Allied force in the Far East to safeguard the 600,000 tons of supplies and other interests at Vladivostok. ww2dbase [AC]
- The Allies decided to supply the Ukraine and Romania through Persia and Siberia in the event of a renewed German offensive in the east. It was further decided that, for this purpose, the Trans-Siberian railway must be brought under Allied control. This would naturally involve the commitment of ground troops to the region. ww2dbase [AC]
