ww2dbaseDuring the night of 29 Mar 1941, Fiume, her sister ship Zara, and four destroyers guarded another Zara-class heavy cruiser, Pola, as Pola was disabled by a British torpedo plane earlier in the day. A British group centered around three battleships, with the aid of radar, attacked in the dark at relative close range, quickly obliterated the Italian fleet, sinking Fiume, Zara, Pola, and two destroyers.

I would like to get more information on the Fiume, as my cousin was aboard that ship.
