ww2dbaseFleet tender Carl Peters was commissioned into serivce in 1940, and throughout the war she supplied torpedoes, depth charges, ammunition, and medical services for smaller craft. In this role, she supported the Norwegian invasion in 1940, sustaining damage off Bergen. After seeing service in the English Channel and Baltic Sea, she struck a mine a week after the end of the European War in May 1945 and sank.
