Info on photo above: Aichi E16A1 code name (PAUL) of the 634th. Kokutai, after its capture. Total production 256 aircraft. It entered service at a time when Japan had lost air superiority, the E16A1's suffered heavy losses during the Philippine Campaign of 1944, and most surviving Paul's were used in Suicide attacks in the Okinawa area.

Since this plane seems to be marked with the US National Insignia, dating the photo after Sept 1945 would be likely.
