Famous WW2 Quote
"Among the men who fought on Iwo Jima, uncommon valor was a common virtue."Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, 16 Mar 1945

Prudence Burns Burrell is quoted in my book, NO TIME FOR FEAR, VOICES OF AMERICAN MILITARY NURSES IN WORLD WAR II,published by Michigan State University Press. The book contains oral histories of nurses who served overseas in every theater of war. She was a tremendous help to me when I was looking for nurses to interview.
