The re-militarization of the Rhineland was the military action that led to WWII, but the die had already been cast with the fall of the very fragile Weimar Republic. I can relate these events with what is happening nowadays in the E.U. with the right-wing parties raising their heads again in Italy, Hungary and the Visegrad country. Lest we forget.
