Note the catapult bridle attached to the landing gear for what was almost certainly this pilot’s first catapult launch. The P-47s taking off from Manila Bay are the same planes seen lined up at Bellows Field, Hawaii in series https://ww2db.com/photo.php?list=sp&sp=series&image_id=14875
