DEUTSCHE SOLDATEN:
KARL HAS WHAT GI'S CALL THE THOUSAND YARD STARE, A SOLDIER WHO HAS BEEN IN THE FIELD TOO LONG, AND HAS SEEN TOO MUCH.
THE GERMAN INFANTRYMEN WERE EXPERIENCED AND FOUGHT HARD. IT TOOK ALMOST SIX YEARS TO BEAT THEM DOWN, THEY WERE THE FIRST TO CAPTURE AND HOLD GROUND, AND THE LAST TO CONCEDE IT IN THE FINAL DAYS OF WORLD WAR II IN EUROPE.
LET'S SEE WHAT THIS OFFICER HAS BEEN ISSUED. THE M42 STEEL HELMET, LATE WAR SPLINTER TYPE CAMOUFLAGE SMOCK, ON HIS WEB BELT.
HE'S ARMED WITH THE MP40, 9MM SUBMACHINE GUN HAS TWO TRIPLE MP40 MAGAZINE POUCHES FOR THE 32 ROUND STICK MAGAZINE FOR HIS MP40, LOOKS LIKE THESE ARE MADE FROM HEAVY CANVAS.
AS AN OFFICER, HE COULD ALSO BE ARMED WITH A SEMI-AUTO PISTOL.
OTHER EQUIPMENT A PAIR OF FIELD GLASSES, MAP CASE AND WHAT LOOKS LIKE A COMPASS CASE, HE HAS BEEN AWARDED THE CLOSE COMBAT CLASP AND THE IRON CROSS FOR BRAVERY.
