During the Battle of Okinawa 76 ohkas were sent out against the US Fleet, carried by
G4M2s Betty bombers. Of the 76, seven hits were made, sinking two destroyers, damaging two destroyers, a minesweeper and the Battleship USS West Viginia. The rest of the attacking Betty bombers and ohkas were shotdown.
