Famous WW2 Quote
"All that silly talk about the advance of science and such leaves me cold. Give me peace and a retarded science."Thomas Dodd, late 1945

Emblem on fuselage is the Vienna-Aspern
Coat of Arms, used by II./JG54
What type of ammunition is being loaded?
looks to large to be 7.92mm, could be the
13mm MG 131 the rounds look large, or they
could be the 15mm MG 151/15.
The weapons were air-cooled, recoil operated
and belt feed. They were synchronized to
fire through the propeller.
Note*
I've seen captured Russian machine gun metal link-belts, that hold the ammunition, and the design looks like it was copied from the
wartime German design.
