Those photos of bong circulating on the internet don't seem to be correct.The san diego air and space museum archives has a photo of the same man except he is in Europe in 1943, his name is apparently "Old Bill", he is a B-17 pilot,and he is engaged to a woman named 2nd lt. Marion mclelland.(photo4562049972_6aa165eb26_o.jpg) Plus I have a book, and have read other books, with a photo of Bong in his p-38 and neither the plane nor bong resemble the photo on your website,. I wonder what Bong could have done to have his whole career swept under the carpet and history become so distorted.
